Creek Pecan Tree
(USDA Mohawk x Starking Hardy Giant) Type I. 54 nuts/lb. 50% Kernel.
Creek is very precocious and will bear large harvests early in its life. It produces oval shaped nuts that are long and narrow. Creek is low maintenance with respect to diseases like pecan scab and insects. However, without crop thinning, irrigation and late season fertilizer applications, over cropping will lead to severe alternate bearing and, as a result, very poor nut quality. Matures early in the season.
