Privacy Policy (effective 08/20/2015)

The privacy of our customers to the Bass Pecan Company family of businesses (Basspecan.com and Basspecantrees.com), collectively “Bass Pecan” or the “Site”, is important to us. We recognize that the privacy of your personal information is critical to you. Bass Pecan collects and uses your personal information to enhance your shopping experience. This privacy policy addresses the information we collect and how it is used. By using or accessing the Site, you are accepting the practices described in this Privacy Policy.

Information We Collect

When you visit the Site, you provide us with two types of information:  personal information you knowingly choose to disclose that is collect by us and site-use information collected by us as you interact with the Site.

When you order or register on the Site, you provide us with personal  information including name, business name, address, email address, phone number, credit card information and details of your purchase. However, users can visit our site anonymously or without registering. You can change your personal information by logging into your account, emailing us at customerservice@basspecan.com, or by calling customer service at 1-800-PECANS1.

When you visit our Site, as with most web sites, we automatically record certain information about your visit in a “log” file. The information may include your IP address, and hostname if available; the date and time of your access to the Site; the referring page, if there was one; the pages you visit on our Site; and the type of browser and operating system you use.

Protecting Your Information

Your account is protected by a password you create. Please keep this information confidential. We will never ask you for your password. You may change it at any time by logging into the Site.

Our website is scanned on a regular basis for security holes and known vulnerabilities in order to make your visit to our site as safe as possible. We use regular Malware Scanning.

In addition, all sensitive/credit information you supply is encrypted via Secure Socket Layer (SSL) technology.

We implement a variety of security measures when you place an order to maintain the safety of your personal information. All credit card  transactions are processed through a gateway provider and are not stored or processed on our servers.

Third Party Disclosure

We do not sell, trade, or otherwise transfer to outside parties your personally identifiable information. We do not include or offer third party products or services on our websites.

Changes to Our Privacy Policy

The use of your information is subject to the privacy policy in effect at the time of use. We may amend this policy from time to time. We post the current effective date of this policy at the top of the policy. Changes to the policy will be posted in the revised privacy policy with a new effective date on our Site. We encourage you to review our privacy policy periodically, because by visiting our Site you agree to accept any such changes.

Child Privacy

Our Site is not intended for use by children under the age of 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under the age of 13.

Email Addresses

We collect your email address to periodically send you information. If, at any time, you would like to unsubscribe from receiving future emails, you can click on the unsubscribe link at the bottom of the email and we will remove you from ALL future correspondence.
