Johnson Keeper Apple

Johnson Keeper is thought to be the same as “Johnson Red Winter”, an apple thought to be extinct. It originated near Jackson, Mississippi, prior to 1885 and grows well in the hot southern climates. The apples are attractive, slightly flattened and are good producers of fruit that store well. The flesh is sweet, juicy and firm.
